The Alta Via N.1 is a fantastic trail, highlighted by breathtaking views, rustic and lively mountain refuges, a sense of excitement of what lies around the next bend or the next pass, and the satisfaction of traveling by foot through this beautiful and remote area.

And don’t worry, there are plenty of opportunities to stop and refuel at welcoming rifugios, charming mountain inns (typically less than 7miles will pass between huts). And, at night, you'll enjoy private accommodations at the best rifugios this mountain range has to offer!

Please note that we need at least 4 people to run this group trip. In the event we do not receive minimum bookings, your entire booking amount will be refunded.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Dolomites

Arrival in Cortina d’Ampezzo on your own (private transfer available on request) and check into your hotel. Cortina d’Ampezzo is a charming alpine resort town surrounded by stunning peaks. In the summer attracts hikers and cyclists who challenge the verticality of these mountains. Meet your Guide in the afternoon for a trip briefing, equipment check, and orientation.

Day 2: Val di Braies, Croda del Becco, & the Croda Rossa Massif

Day 3: Altopiano di Fanes, Cime di Fanis, & the Lagazuoi Massif

Day 4: Cinque Torri Area

Day 5: Departure Day

Cancellation Policy

91+ more days prior to departure: 20% loss of trip cost & 10% transfer to a future trip (within two calendar years);

60 to 90 days prior to departure: 100% loss of deposit;

.46 to 59 days prior to departure: 50% loss of trip cost + 50% transfer to a future trip (within two calendar years);

45 days or less prior to departure: 100% loss of full amount of trip cost. These charges are a percentage of the total cost of the booking. The days indicated are from the trip departure date.
