Q: What is included in the cost of the trip?

- Transportation except for Airport transfers - English guided service - Accommodation in mountain huts during the trek and in hotels/guesthouses for the rest of the trip - Meals as indicated on the itinerary - Luggage transfers from hut to hut - Admission fees

Q: What is excluded from the cost of the trip?

- Flights - Airport Transfers - Visas - Travel Insurance - Personal gear - Some meals - Showers during the Laugavegur Trek (Hot showers cost $7 per person for 5 minutes) - Anything specifically not mentioned under 'Inclusions'

Q: What is the group size on the Laugvegur Trek tours?

We have a maximum of 16 participants on the hut tour. The group size just depends on how many books are for each departure.

Q: Do I have to share a room with other people?

The huts are shared. They have dormitories with single and twin bunk beds so do be prepared to share a room with your fellow travelers.

Q: Are there showers at the huts/campsites on the Laugavegur trek?

Showers are found in every hut/campsite. Using the showers costs $7 per person for 5 minutes use and can be paid for at the warden’s hut at each hut/campsite.

Q: Are there toilet facilities at the huts/campsites during the Laugavegur trek?

Yes there are. The toilets have toilet paper and soap for washing your hands. Anything else you might need for example shampoo, bandages, towels, washcloths, nail clippers etc. you will need to bring with you.

Q: Does the guide prepare the meals on the Laugavegur trek?

The meals are prepared by all participants, guides and the team. Although the guide is usually the leader on the project this can go all ways. We have found that this brings the group together and makes a nice, fun and cozy atmosphere. Make food and friends at the same time.

DAY 1

Arrival Day: Welcome to Iceland

Upon arrival at Keflavík Airport, travelers will make their way to Reykjavík City, the vibrant heart of Iceland. Once in the city, you can check into your hotel in downtown Reykjavík anytime after 14:00/15:00. Take the rest of the day to relax, explore the city at your own pace, and soak in the unique atmosphere of the world's northernmost capital.
