Overview

For those of you who want to camp but don't want to have to put up a tent, or those looking to get introduced to camping, this is a great opportunity to do so in a controlled environment. You will be staying in a Yurt on an alpaca ranch, which will be your base to go on self-guided hikes to beautiful alpine lakes, historic railroad tunnels, or even ice caves, recommended to you based on your skill level and experience.

The price is $125/person for a minimum of 2 people. The yurt can however easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 youngsters on a futon, with their own bedding.

Itinerary

Day 1: Short alpine Lake hikes

Self guided: Hike Option 1: 4.5mile with about 1,000 ft elevation gain hike to scenic little lake located on the northeastern slope of Mount Pilchuck, with little waterfalls along the way. Hike Option 2: 5.5 mile hike with 1,400 ft elevation gain to an alpine lake in the center of an alpine wetland on the northern shoulder of Mount Pilchuck. On this hike you will experience everything from lush mountain rainforests to old-growth forests to wetlands to majestic mountain views. These hikes are suitable for kids who have done some hiking and are ready to take their hiking to the next level by going on slighly longer and more interesting trails with some rocks and roots.

On day 1, for 2 days

The yurt is perfect for those non-campers who prefer a hotel room to a tent as they will be pleasantly surprised at the delightful experience of staying in a yurt. The yurt is furnished with a queen size bed and linens, with an additional futon couch that can double as a mattress making this an ideal choice for a family with two youngsters (bringing their sleeping bags). In the winter time it's kept warm and cozy with a blue flame heater.
