Overview

Join Mountains, Sea & She for a 3 day climb to Mount Adams. Mountains Sea and She - Outdoor Adventures is a safe, inclusive group space for women of all fitness and experience levels to come together to plan adventures, make new friends, seek advice, and share knowledge and experiences.  

This 3 day itinerary gives you a relaxed pace and time to summit without pressure. You'll be taught how to use crampons and an ice axe, be rewarded (on a clear day) with views of Mt. Rainier, Mt Hood, and Mount Saint Helens in the distance, and get to glissade (slide) down the mountain which is both amazingly fun and a quicker way to get down while saving your knees!  

This Mt. Adams adventure is a great mountaineering beginner trip on which you will learn the skills and techniques to scale these mountains.

- Proper usage of crampons and ice axes, as well as techniques for glissading  

- Winter route skills for conquering volcanic summits

Itinerary

Day 1: Hike to Base camp

On your first day of this epic adventure, you will meet at the guide's office or another pre-arranged meeting point for the gear check. Then, they will drive you the trail head to you will start your hike to base camp at 9,400 ft/2,865 m. After setting up the camp the guides will teach how to use crampons and ice axes for your summit.  

Total Distance: ~ 4 mi/6.4 km  

Elevation Gain: ~ 4,000 ft/1,219 m  

Total Time: ~ 4-5 hrs  

Meals: Lunch and Dinner

You will be staying at the base camp on double occupancy basis for 2 nights. All group equipment, such as tents and stoves, is covered in the trip's cost.

Cancellation Policy

This trip is confirmed once 7 people have booked. Once the trip is confirmed, the following cancellation policy applies:  

- Any cancellation requested 61 days prior to the departure day gets a full refund minus $100 non-refundable deposit.  

- From day 60 until 31 you have the right to a 50% refund.  

- From day 30 until the day of departure, will not be eligible for any refund.
