Your destination is open from sunrise to sunset, so be sure to be there early! There are lots of hikes to do here. The patterns and colors at the hike’s destination are unique and wonderful, you’ll marvel at their beauty! We’ve got more hike options for you if you want, or you can head out and enjoy various viewpoints along the road. From one you’ll get to see miles of multicolored rocks stretching out towards the horizon. On other hikes you’ll get to see rock formations that look like waves with patterns of swirling reds, pinks, and whites! Another hike will take you through sandstone rocks, canyons, and an old film set location. In this area you’ll also get to see a grouping of mountains, petrified trees, and even a rock formation that looks like an elephant!  

From here, travel on from the Valley of Fire toward Lake Mead. Once at the lake, you can stop and go for a walk or swim on a sandy beach or rent a boat or watercraft. Depending on interest, you can drive on after the Lake Mead stop to Hoover Dam and participate in a tour. When you’re done here, you’ll head back to Las Vegas.
