Overview

Enjoy an amazing 8-day adventure through some of Peru's most incredible sites. Begin with a tour of the historic city of Cusco. Then, follow in the footsteps of the Incas through the Sacred Valley. This iconic trek spans approximately 26 miles (42 km), showcasing diverse Andean environments such as cloud forests and alpine tundra. Along the trail, you'll encounter remarkable biodiversity, with chances to spot orchids, foxes, Peru's national bird, the cock-of-the-rock, spectacled bears, deer, and a plethora of flora and fauna. En route to Machu Picchu, you'll also encounter impressive Inca ruins like Wiñay Wayña and Phuyupatamarca. For an additional off-the-beaten-path experience, delve into the breathtaking "Rainbow Mountain."

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

You will arrive to your hotel in the center of Cusco. Later in the afternoon around 1 PM, you will walk in the heart of Cusco, visiting the city's most notable sites for around 4 hours. Then you will go back to your hotel.

Day 3: Ollantaytambo - Ayapata

Day 4: Ayapata - Chaquicocha
