Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Akagera National Park and

Tour representative will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, have lunch, and then go on an afternoon boat safari on Lake Ihema. Animals to see on the lake are hippos, monitor lizards, and birds.

After your boat safari, end your day on an exciting night game drive which starts between 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Animals like big cats are more active under the cover of darkness so a night game drive usually makes for some special sightings.
