FAQ 2: What is excluded from the trip cost?

- Sleeping bag during the Inca Trail (can be rented from the guides)

FAQ 3: When is the best time to visit Peru?

Accepted Answer

The best time to visit Peru is during the dry season, between May and October, which sees sunny days, bright blue skies in the Andes, and chilly nights. It is a wonderful time to be in Peru, especially if you plan to go on a trek, but being the peak season, early booking is crucial.  
Visitors will notice more rain between November and April, with the wettest months being January and February. Travel at this time does offer the advantage of fewer visitors, greener scenery, and some lower rates for flights and hotels.

FAQ 4: For the Inca Trail, do you include all camping equipment?

Included in the trip price is the following: 
- Dining room equipment which includes tables, chairs, and a dining tent. 
- Complete set of kitchen equipment and utensils. 
- One tent for every 2 people. (If you would like your own personal tent for sleeping, there would be an additional charge).

FAQ 5: Do you rent equipment out?

Yes, equipment is available for rent from your guides: 
- Sleeping bags - $35 
- Inflatable mattress - $25 
-Walking Sticks - $20 
- Personal Porter for belongings Inca Trail up to 7 kgs - $70 
- Personal Porter for belongings Inca Trail up to 14 kgs.) - $140

FAQ 6: Do I carry all my luggage during the Inca Trail Trek?

Accepted Answer

The porters carry upto 7 kgs of luggage per person. You can add additional porters for extra charge.  The rest of the luggage can be left at the hotel.

FAQ 7: What fitness/experience do I need?

Accepted Answer

You do not need to be experienced hiker, but you need to be in good physical condition in order to be able it easier and more enjoyable.

FAQ 8: Recommended acclimatization time?

2 days minimum which form part of this itinerary. Remember the more the better!

FAQ 9: Is water provided for free during the trek?

Accepted Answer

Purified water will be provided during the trek, (excluding the first 4 hours of the hike).

FAQ 10: What is the cancellation policy after securing the Inca trail permit?

Accepted Answer

Inca trail requires a permit, and we pay $200 to secure your permit.
Once the permits are secured, this amount is not refundable. Our standard cancellation policy will apply.
Note that an admin fee of $100 remains non-refundable regardless of time of cancellation.

FAQ 11: When should I book my flight for Machu Picchu trek?

Please don’t book your flights till your permits have been secured. We’ll confirm back to you as soon as they have been secured, after which you can book your flights at any time

FAQ 12: What is the minimum age of the activity?

Accepted Answer

The minimum age for hiking the Inca trail is 7 yrs. However, we strongly recommend the kids should have some long day hiking experience as it involves hiking in the high altitude.
