Continue on to sun-drenched eastern Washington and choose between hiking among towering basalt pillars or diving into the Walla Walla wine scene and taking part in a wine tasting. Explore the Blue Mountains while carving turns on the slopes or the epic beauty of the Umatilla National Forest on snowshoes or nordic skis. Take a bike ride through one of Walla Walla’s best parks and try some of the top wines and restaurants that Washington has to offer. Based from a hip and charming lodge, this weekend getaway is great for families and couples alike!

Itinerary

Day 1: Hiking, wine tasting, explore town

On your way to Walla Walla stop and stretch your legs while exploring a quaint mountain town. Do a quick hike (or snowshoe!), grab coffee and bite and continue on to sunny eastern Washington. Choose between a hike among towering basalt pillars or dive right into Walla Walla’s wine scene and start your stay off with a wine tasting at one of the dozens of award-winning wineries that the area has to offer. Check into your cozy Walla Walla accommodations in the heart of the charming downtown and then stroll around town and choose from one of the endless sensational restaurants that grace Walla Walla's food scene!
