FAQ 1: Is there a prerequisite for this climb?

Entry-level climbers are welcome on this program. The guides will teach you everything that you need to know. That said, you will need the physical conditioning required to climb steep snowfields in order to be able to enjoy your climb and not ne turned around by your guides.

- Transportation, however, your guiding company will assist in organizing a carpool to their office

FAQ 6: What gear will be needed for this climb?

Accepted Answer

You will receive a full packing instructions once you book your Mount Hood guided climb, and you will be connected to your guides who will answer any of your gear related questions. Here's a brief list of what you will need to provide for yourself:
- Personal climbing gear: Backpack, helmet, harness, carabiners, mountaineering boots, ice tools, and crampons
- Weather-appropriate clothing

FAQ 7: Will my money be refunded if the guides cancel this trip for any reason?

Accepted Answer

This trip will proceed regardless of the weather conditions and will be canceled only if the guides determine conditions to be unsafe, in which case the guides will do their best to accommodate an alternative climbing date, subject to guide availability, or refund the entire amount.  
The guiding company or AdventureTripr shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by the participants due to such a change, including flight changes, hotel costs, etc. The participants are highly encouraged to obtain trip cancellation insurance. Coverage should include trip cancellation, baggage loss, non-refundable airline tickets, accident/life coverage, and travel days. Participants are also encouraged to purchase medical, disability, life, and rescue insurance. The guiding company or AdventureTripr does not provide any such insurance coverage and participants acknowledge it is their own responsibility to acquire insurance for themselves.

FAQ 8: What is the cancellation policy on this trip?

Accepted Answer

20% of the booking amount plus $100 towards AdventureTripr admin fee.100% of the booking amount will be non-refundable for cancellations within 60 of your trips start date. No cancellations, group-size changes, or date-changes are allowed within 60 days of your program’s start date.
