Begin your exploration in Shillong, the vibrant capital of Meghalaya, and witness its charming colonial architecture and bustling markets. Trek along the enchanting David Scott Trail, traversing through lush forests and picturesque villages. Experience the breathtaking beauty of Sohra (Cherrapunjee), known for its cascading waterfalls and living root bridges. Dive into the azure waters for thrilling snorkeling adventures. In Kaziranga, encounter the majestic wildlife on an exhilarating safari, including the iconic one-horned rhinoceros. Finally, culminate your journey by joining the vibrant celebrations of the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland, immersed in the rich cultural heritage of the tribes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Shillong for your first night!

After we drive from Guwahati to a cooler and greener Meghalaya, we head

to Shillong for the night. Take a pit stop at Nongpoh for lunch, if you want to try out some local food, this is a good place to do so.

Have your first cup of Lal cha with the Umiam Lake for a view and don’t forget to try out the pineapples in Meghalaya. By far some of the best we’ve had in the country! Time permitting, make your way to Laitlum Grand Canyons to catch the sunset.

Drive time - 3.5 hours

Day 2: The David Scott Trail

Day 3: A day in Sohra

Day 4: Trek through the Rangthylliang Root Bridges

Day 5: Water Activities at Shnongpdeng

Day 6: Drive to Kaziranga after bidding to one of the last offbeat waterfalls!

Day 7: Safari in Kaziranga

Day 8: Drive to Jakhama for Hornbill Festival

Day 9: A Day of Festivities at Hornbill Festival

Day 10: Bid Adieu to North East!
