Overview

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Sonamarg

Depart to Sonamarg from Srinagar. Sonamarg which literally translates to "path of gold" is the starting point of the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek. If you book in advance, we can arrange a pickup at Nishant Garden in Srinagar in the afternoon. The short day trip from Srinagar is well worth the amazing views enroute. The campsite is located near the Sindh river in Shitkandi village.

Drive distance: 56 mi

Day 2: Travel to Nichnai via Shedkur

Day 3: Nichnai to Vishansar lake

Day 4: Rest day for Acclimatization

Day 5: Travel to Gadsar via Gadsar pass

Day 6: Gadsar to Satsar

Day 7: Travel to Gangabal twin lakes via Zaj pass

Day 8: Gangabal to Narang; Drive to Srinagar
