Overview

This trek offers a wonderful combination of culture, nature and landscape into an experience of a lifetime. But the rewards of this trek must be earned as it climbs over 20,000 ft. and loses over 7,000 ft. of elevation over 75+ miles over the course of the trek, at high altitudes.

On this version of the Everest Base Camp trek, you can accelerate your descent back by taking a helicopter from Gorakshep, with an extra day in Kathmandu built into the itinerary to allow for any helicopter flight changes and cancellations due to unfavorable conditions. Further, the accommodation is upscale with 5-star hotels and premium tea houses wherever possible.

6. Spending a day at Namche Bazar, the Sherpa capital

7. Experiencing the local culture and cuisine at the tea houses along your trek

8. Coming close to local wildlife and domesticated animals like Yaks

9. Exploring Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, which is a world heritage site.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu and group meeting

You’ll be received at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,430ft.) and transferred to the hotel for your stay after you complete the necessary formalities at the customs. A Welcome Dinner will be organized for your group

Day 2: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar

Day 4: Rest and acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Day 5: Trek to Tengboche

Day 6: Trek to Dingboche

Day 7: Rest and acclimatization day at Dingboche

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche

Day 9: Trek to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp

Day 10: Trek to Kala Patthar and fly back to Kathmandu

Day 11: Leisure Day in Kathmandu

Day 12: Departure from Nepal
