Itinerary

Day 1: Mt. St. Helens Summit

Start out with your guide and summit this iconic mountain. It's a strenuous adventure, but at the end, you'll have summited one of Washington's five volcanoes.

Climbers will need to be in decent physical condition in order to climb 4,500 feet in five miles in one day. Plan on it taking 12 hours round trip. Permits to climb this mountain sell out within hours each season, but with a guide, you can get up the mountain to the rim of the crater.

You will need equipment such as an ice axe, crampons, and hard-shell or wind jacket in addition to your regular hiking gear. Once booked, your guides will provide you with a detailed gear list appropriate for the conditions during your time of climb. Lots of gear is available to rent.
