Highlights

On this journey, you will traverse a remarkable section of the ancient Inca road network, covering over 77 km (47.9 mi) of historic trails. Along the way, you'll run iconic trails, immerse yourself in the serenity of nature, and explore two fascinating and mysterious archaeological sites.

The route takes you through a stunning variety of landscapes and ecosystems, from rushing rivers at 1,500 meters above sea level (4,921 feet) to high mountain passes reaching 4,650 meters (15,256 feet). You'll experience everything from lush tropical rainforests to towering glaciers, passing through the habitat of the endangered spectacled bear and soaring alongside majestic Andean condors. These extraordinary contrasts make for a truly unique and unforgettable adventure.

Your journey begins in the town of Capuliyoc, leading you through the renowned archaeological site of Choquequirao. Along the way, you'll visit small villages, following well-preserved Inca trails that wind through the mountains, before reaching the awe-inspiring ancient citadel of Machu Picchu.
