Overview

Pico de Orizaba, also known as "Citlaltépetl," is an inactive stratovolcano that is the highest mountain in Mexico and the third highest in North America. On this climb, your expert guides will teach you the skills needed and take you up to the highest point in Mexico.  

 

Note: A minimum of 7 participants are required to run this trip. If you book the trip and we don't reach the minimum number of participants, your payment will be refunded.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

After you arrive at the Mexico City, you will be transferred to Zoapan. After lunch you will hop on a 4×4 for the drive to the Piedra Grande Hut. To assist in acclimatization, you will then take a short afternoon hike.  

Elevation: 7,342 ft / 2,238 m  

Meals: Lunch, Dinner
