Join Brooke on this African safari tour, designed as an add-on to your Tanzania trip, offering a glimpse into the wonders of Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater in just 3 days. With luck, you'll have the chance to spot the Big Five: elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, buffalo, and a variety of other wildlife, all at a leisurely pace.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

The first day of your safari begins promptly at 8 am with a hotel pickup in Arusha. After everyone is aboard, you'll journey towards Tarangire National Park, covering the 150 km drive in approximately 3 hours.

Renowned for its diverse landscape and nine distinct vegetation zones, the park greets you with ancient, towering Baobab trees that dwarf even the tallest giraffes. Your game drive extends into the late afternoon, punctuated by a picnic lunch stop amidst the park's breathtaking scenery.

Spanning 1,100 square miles, the park owes its name to the Tarangire River, a vital water source that attracts a rich array of wildlife. Expect to encounter elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras during your exploration. With luck, you may even catch sight of a tree-climbing python or the elusive long-necked gerenuk.

Following the game drive, you'll retire to your lodge for a scrumptious dinner.
