DAY 1

Lake Manyara National Park and Overnight in Karatu

Start your day with an exciting journey to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. This picturesque park is a haven for nature lovers, offering stunning vistas of acacia woodlands, grassy plains, and the sparkling waters of the lake, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment.

As you explore, keep an eye out for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, often lounging in the branches of acacia trees. The park is also home to large herds of elephants, playful baboons, giraffes, zebras, and an incredible variety of birdlife, including pink flamingos that gather along the lake's shores. An Unforgettable and Seamless Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb

It is rare that 14 (mostly) strangers can come together, bond quickly and cohesively and do something amazing like summit Mt. Kilimanjaro together. Yet, when you get to work with terrific organizations like AdventureTripr, things like this become possible. While I had to do a significant amount of personal preparation and training, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a “hitch-less” travel experience. From providing a detailed itinerary, packing list and training program to securing comfortable transportation and hotels to partnering with an excellent guide company in Tanzania, every aspect of our trip felt easy (except the climb, of course!).
