Overview

There is no doubt that the Everest base camp trek is the ultimate Himalayan trek and the best way to visit Nepal is on foot. The trek will take you through the shadows of the most magnificent mountains on Earth to finally see the roof of the world.

Lakpa Sherpa

Lakpa is one the most well known and respected mountain guide in the world. Born and raised in the small village of Thame, Lakpa followed the footsteps of his father and began his first mountaineering expedition at the age of 18 in 1984. From what began as a job, Lakpa soon realized mountaineering was his true passion. On October 7th of 1990, Lakpa made his first summit to Mt. Everest and since then, he has made over 17 summits, and let 36 expeditions, guiding a record of 254 climbers to the summit. Lakpa moved to the United States in 2000 and started working as a full-time mountain guide around the world, leading expeditions in Alaska, Antarctica, and South America. In 2009, he became the first Sherpa to climb the seven summits. Lakpa was also named the outside magazine’s “Adventurer of the year” in 2013. Lakpa has been guiding full time for over 30 years worldwide with several different guiding companies.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1350m/4430ft)

Once you arrive at the Kathmandu Airport, you will be transferred to the Yak and Yeti Hotel located at the center of Kathmandu. In the evening you will have gears check and orientation.

Cancellation Policy

The registration fee of $500 is non-refundable and full refunds, less the registration fee, will be provided for cancellations made 121 days before the expedition date and reservations cancelled 120 days or less prior to departure are no longer eligible for any refunds.
