You spend the first 2 nights at El Chaltén. It is surrounded by glaciers, lakes, rivers and forests and sits at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy. Your accommodation will be in an Inn or B&B with great comfort and service.

On Day 3 you will reach El Calafate, the bus will drop you off at your hotel. In Calafate, food options are varied and plentiful; from veggie delicacies to the best demonstration of national steaks, there really is something for everyone. 
 

On Day 5 you will begin your journey to the Chilean Patagonia and reach Puerto Natales. Your accommodation will be in an Inn or B&B with great comfort and service.

On Day 8 you will travel back to El Calafate. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and you can choose a fancy restaurant for dinner, or a more traditional local tavern to spend an unforgettable night

Upon arrival at the El Calafate airport, you will start your 4-hour trip to El Chaltén. You’ll travel along the famous Route 40, surrounded by the Patagonian steppe, and pass through La Leona River to El Chaltén. 
Enjoy your first afternoon of leisure in one of the best destinations of Patagonia by relaxing in the local brewery or strolling around a little waterfall. 
If you are up for a self-guided hike you can enjoy and discover El Chorrillo del Salto, just 1 hour away from the village. Reach its little waterfall encircled by native trees and flora, like the Patagonian Orchid.

Today, explore one of the classic treks that can't be missed in El Chaltén: Laguna Torre, where you will find an impressive view of the Torre massif, the Adela range, Mount Solo and their respective glaciers.
The footpath will take you through a wide range of landscapes, from wide glacially formed valleys to dense forests.

Hike to Laguna Torre 

Today, our recommendation for truly hiking lovers: make all the way to Laguna de los Tres.
You can start the trek directly from town, or take a shared bus up to Hostería El Pilar, located 14km from downtown, and gain a different view of this incredible place. From there, you will hike along a beautiful trail through the lenga forest, following the Río Blanco (White River) towards the Poincenot campsite.
Along the way, you can stop at the beautiful Piedras Blancas (White Rocks) viewpoint. From where you will see the Piedras Blancas glacier and its associated glacial features, including the erratic boulders and lateral moraines left behind as the glacier retreated over the last few decades.
You will have many different views of the Fitz Roy mountain chain as you make your way towards your final objective for the day - the magnificent Laguna de Los Tres. This unforgettable location has the best view of Cerro Fitz Roy.
Pack your lunch so you can have it while appreciating these breathtaking views and then beginning your descent towards El Chaltén.

At the appropriate time, you will be picked up to board a bus to go from your hotel in El Chaltén to your hotel in El Calafate.
The 3 hour long drive will be a good opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy the passing landscapes at your window.

Transfer to hotel in El Chaltén or El Calafate

You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning to take you to Los Glaciares National Park located at 50 miles from El Calafate, home of the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier.
Los Glaciares National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 when its almost 200 glaciers were discovered. Half of the park is occupied by the Patagonian ice field, the second largest ice field after Antarctica.
Upon arrival to the National Park, your guide will show you the different walkways from where you will be able to walk in front of the colossal ice wall, and, if you are lucky, perhaps see some landslides.
When the ice breaks and falls, the world holds its breath: all other sounds stop at the earth's surface.
You will start the adventure from the main balcony and then, have some free time to wander freely until the meeting time agreed with your guide. For lunchtime, the National Park offers a service area with a restaurant and a snack bar (lunch is not included).
For a different perspective of this impressive glacier, you can take a 1-hour boat ride to sail along the massive glacier wall that rises 240 feet above Argentino lake and in between floating icebergs (not included, but may be added and paid for on the spot, subject to availability).
After exploring the park, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Full day on Perito Moreno Glacier

In the early morning, you will be picked up for your full-day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park (shared service). Along the road, you might be able to see rheas, guanacos, Patagonian hare, and even condors. Keep an eye out for wild guanacos as they roam the windy plains.
After crossing the Patagonian steppe from North to South for about two hours, you will arrive at the border post “Cancha Carrera” (time spent at the border may vary). Don't worry about the Spanish there, because your tour guide will assist travelers with customs documentation. It is important to remember that today you are crossing the border into Chile. Please make sure you have your passport.
Before entering the National Park, make a stop at the Sarmiento Lake panoramic viewpoint, to get your first full view of the massive Paine landscape and its wild animals!
Around midday, take a short walk along the coastline of Amarga Lagoon, reach Paine Fall and eat lunch outdoors while enjoying the views of Rio Paine and the Towers.
Once inside the National Park, make short stops at key viewpoints, and take a hike up to Salto Grande waterfall, or the coastline of Nordenskjold Lake, to get closer to the Horns. Afterwards, visit “Pehoe Lake Lookout Point” which showcases one of the most spectacular views of Torres del Paine.
After enjoying the final views of the day, you will board a new transfer in Cerro Castillo that will drop you off in Puerto Natales.

Full day at Torres del Paine with a drop-off in Puerto Natales

Navigate along the beautiful fjords of Patagonia into the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. Go through Señoret channel to head to Guanaco Island where wonderful toninas (a type of dolphin) can be seen. On the way appreciate the view of sea lions and beautiful waterfalls and cliffs that are part of the amazing Patagonian scenery.
Enjoy hiking through the native forest surrounded by coigues, ñirres and ciruelillos, along the shore of the glacial lake as the majestic Serrano Glacier comes into view.

Today get prepared to take the bus back to El Calafate. To get to the bus station a taxi will cost you roughly $6/8 dollars. 
It is highly recommended that you are ready half-an-hour before the departure time at the bus terminal. Once you arrive at the bus station in El Calafate, you will make your way to your hotel. 
Enjoy the rest of the evening downtown, sipping on a local craft beer accompanied by a delicious Patagonian lamb stew.
