The first day of this round trip is mainly focused on exploring the attractions of the famous Golden Circle.  
You will visit Þingvellir National Park, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its geological and historical significance. 
The Geysir hot spring area will be your next destination. Geysir is the spouting hot spring that gave its name to this phenomenon when the English word ‘geyser’ was adopted. 
The mighty Gullfoss waterfall is the final Golden Circle attraction. On the way to our accommodation in Vík, you will visit both Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls.

Golden Circle and South Coast

On the second day, you will explore the atmospheric Reynisfjara black sand beach with the glorious Reynisdrangar peaks and visit the basalt column cave. 
You will pass the great Mýrdalsjökull glacier, which houses one of the most famous and feared volcanoes beneath its ice, the capricious Katla. Witness the results of previous volcanic eruptions as we drive across the Eldhraun lava field to Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park.
You will take a three-hour glacier hike, guided by our specialist glacier guide, on an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Europe.
Next on the agenda is the famous Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Gaze in wonder at the magical iceberg-filled lagoon and see the famous Diamond Beach, its coal-black sands peppered with glittering crystals.

Skaftafell and Glacier Lagoon

Today you will explore the East Fjords of Iceland. Continue threading our way along the coastline, driving some narrow roads around Hvalnes, a magnificent and remote peninsula, and the stretch around the Þvottárskriður landslides between Lóns and Álftafjarðar.
You will stop at Djúpivogur, a traditional small fishing village that is also home to a fine outdoor sculpture, Eggin í Gleðivík. Finish the day by soaking in geothermal Vök Baths surrounded by the amazing scenery of Lake Urriðavatn (Optional activity at an extra cost).
After the baths,  we move on to Egilsstaðir, the largest town in East Iceland, where we will relax in a hotel for the night.

East Fjord - Djúpivogur - Egilsstadir

Today you will start at Stuðlagil Canyon, one of the world’s most enchanting basalt rock formations. You will stop at Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall. Then, explore the mystical landscapes around the lake at Mývatn.
From here, you will head to the steaming lunar landscapes of the Námaskarð geothermal area, Hverfjall crater and the fantastic Dimmuborgir formations, known as the Dark Castles! The vast and dreamy crescent-shaped waterfall - Goðafoss, is the last stop of the day before you journey to Eyjafjörður, an outstandingly beautiful fjord with high mountains.

North Iceland

The whale-watching boat trip departs from Dalvík. During the 3-hour boat trip, you can expect to spot humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins, minke whales, and sometimes even a majestic blue whale showing up in the bay.
Back in the shore, you will go to Siglufjörður, a charming fishing village with a rich history, and Tröllaskagi (the Troll Peninsula) will show you some of Iceland's best ocean scenery on our way to Laugarbakki.

Whale watching and scenic drive to Laugarbakki

Your day will begin with a short hike to Grábrók, a volcano crater. There are fabulous views over the lava field and the whole area on a clear day. Borgarfjörður has many splendid sights, and we will focus on these today. We stop at a hot spring, a legendary waterfall, and the Hraunfossar cascade, the atmospheric very low and wide falls where the water emerges, literally straight out of the lava field.
Your will stop in the pituresque site of Reykholt and the scenic fjord Hvalfjörður (Whale Fjord), on the way back to Reykjavík.
