6-Day Peru: Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain Hiking Trip with Sarah

DAY 1

Arrival to Cusco

Upon your arrival in Cusco, you'll be transferred to your hotel via private transportation arranged by your guides. After settling in and resting, you’ll have the option to explore the city at your own pace or book an optional half-day or full-day city tour.

Optional Activity: City Tour (extra charge)

If you choose to explore on your own, we recommend visiting the stunning Koricancha, located next to the Santo Domingo Church. According to chroniclers from the post-conquest era, the Koricancha was the most sacred and significant temple in the Inca Empire.

Next, head to the Cusco Cathedral, located on the Plaza de Armas. Built between 1560 and 1654 on the foundations of an Inca temple, this magnificent cathedral houses works of art from the Cusco School of painters. Its main altar and pulpit are adorned with intricate gold and silver reliefs.

Finally explore the impressive Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, perched on a hill above Cusco. Here, you'll witness some of the finest examples of Inca stonework, including massive rocks that were meticulously cut and fitted together to form the walls. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Cusco from this vantage point.

Afterward, head up to the Tambomachay Archaeological Complex before returning to your hotel in Cusco.

Our guides Klever, Willian, Fernando and Meribel was fantastic! They treated us like family and took care of each one of us with a smile on their face. We were welcomed with a cheer once we are done with the day hike and back to the campsite. It made our hearts happy! Chefs Valentino and team prepared delicious food and there was not repeat of menu each day. We left our foot prints in the Inca trail and carried a life time memories back home!! Definitely recommended this Inca Trail and Rainbow Mountain trip for everyone.

Guides worked together as a team, organized each individual task so detailed and explanations on each day schedule. Food was so amazing and the presentation was so unbelievable. On the other hand they surprised with picnic in the middle of mountain views. It feels so blessed and pampered. Driver Elvis is so cool and patience with picking up dropping us off. Rest of the staff cheers while when entered into the camp site end of the day. It was so warming and boosting for the next day. I definitely recommended this amazing trip for everyone.

Amazing Inca Trail experience with AdventureTripr

We had the amazing experience in Inca Trail with Adventure Tripr. Starting from the planning of the trip, packing list , training plan , airport pickup/drop off to actual execution of the Trek was very commendable. Our guides were extremely passionate, compassionate, generous and disciplined. Willian and Klever spoke clearly on our day trips explaining the history of Peru and Inca culture. Fernando was super encouraging and helpful. Marybel was another kind guide who did her job with a smile. The porters were super amazing always welcoming us with a smile. Through out the camping, we were taken care with extreme hygiene and care. Chefs Valentino and tram prepped delicious vegetarian delicacies and there was not repeat of menu each day. Each day we returned for lunch or dinner, we were welcomed with a cheer and not one hiker was left alone. Guides ensured that everyone is encouraged and time is maintained. Given the group of 28hikers, it definitely kept the guides on toes but they never lost their cool or sense of humor. Very grateful for the experience.
