Q: What is the best time of the year to go on an African Safari in Tanzania?

Between January to March and June to October are consider good time to visit Tanzania in general, due to the favorable weather conditions. The great migration however takes place around August September and that is the best time to witness animals in millions migrating to greener pastures.

Q: Can I upgrade my accommodation?

The price of this trip is based on double occupancy in the lodges. You can upgrade to single occupancy for a fee. It is also possible to do this safari in camping tents. Contact us for more information at team@adventuretripr.com.

Q: Is travel insurance mandatory?

We highly recommend securing travel and medical insurance not only to cover any emergencies during the trip but also last minute cancellations.

Q: What city/airport should I arrive and depart from?

The trip starts and ends in Arusha. You should arrive and depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

Q: Is the accommodation in Arusha before the safari trip included in the pricing?

This trip is an add on to the Kilimanjaro Climb and the accommodation before the safari trip is not included. Please reach to us at team@adventuretripr.com for adding extra night accommodation.

This 3-day safari will take you to most famous northern Tanzania National Park such as the Tarangire, world famous Ngorongoro Conservation and Serengeti National Park. You will experience an exhilarating safari in Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest unbroken caldera, home to "Big Five" followed by the spectacular Wildebeest Migration of ungulates, groups of Zebra, Thomson's gazelle, Grant's gazelle and Eland in the Serengeti national Park.

Itinerary

Serengeti Safari with Filipina On The Trail

DAY 1

Tarangire National Park

Your safari will begin at 8 am in the morning with a pickup from your hotel at Arusha. The drive to Tarangire National Park is about 3 hours.

This park is extremely famous and special for its diverse landscape and nine different vegetation zones. As you begin your game drive, you will be welcomed by the ancient and gigantic Baobab trees, which make even animals like the giraffe look tiny. The game drive goes on till about late afternoon and includes a small stop for a picnic lunch.

The park is about 1,100 sq mi and gets its name from the Tarangire river that flows through it. The river attracts a lot of diverse animals, and you should be able to spot a lot of elephants, giraffe, lions, antelopes and zebra. If it’s your lucky day, you might be able to spot the tree climbing python and the long-necked Gerek. Post the game drive, you will head to your lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.
