FAQ 1: What meals are included?

All meals during the trek are included in the trip price. Meals on travel days to and from the park will not be provided, such as day 1 and 7 (aside from breakfast on day 7). Please see the day by day itinerary descriptions for the exact information on the meals included by day.

FAQ 2: Do I need my own camping gear?

Nope! All tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads will be provided. All you need is your personal gear!

FAQ 3: What about COVID travel restrictions?

Our team is working diligently to stay on top of all imposed travel restrictions to and from the US and Chile. Your guide will be available to assist with all protocols and requirements.

FAQ 4: What are the vaccination requirements for Chile?

In addition to routine vaccinations, Chile requires vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B, Measles, and Typhoid, which are recommended for most international travel. You can set up a Travel Appointment with your doctor or local pharmacy for all vaccinations and medications you may need for your trip.

On this trek you will:

- Explore the Chilean Torres del Paine National Park via the W Trek

- Walk alongside the breathtaking “Cuernos des Paine”

- Be amazed by the shapes of the “Francés Valley”

- See the magnificent Grey Glacier and the southernmost tip of the Chilean Patagonia’s Southern Ice Fields where ice blends into clouds on the horizon.

We need at least 8 people to run this group trip. In the event we do not receive minimum bookings, your entire booking amount will be refunded.

Itinerary

W Trek Patagonia with SAC

DAY 1

Rest up in Puerto Natales

After traveling from the US to Chile, rest up in Puerto Natales, where you will begin our journey the next morning.

In the evening, you will convene for a briefing of the trip from our trekking guide, followed by a casual meet-and-greet where the group can get to know our fellow adventure buddies!

You are responsible for your transfers and meals on this day. Once you book the trip, you will be connected with your guides who will provide you the necessary resources to book your transfers to get to your hotel in Puerto Natales.

DAY 2

Arrive in Torres del Paine National Park - Trek to the Base of The Towers, 13.6 miles

DAY 3

Trek to Refugio Los Cuernos, 7.4 miles

DAY 4

Explore the French Valley, 10.5 miles

DAY 5

Grey Glacier and hike to suspension bridges, 6.8 miles

DAY 6

Trek to Refugio Paine Grande – Return to Puerto Natales. 6.8 miles

DAY 7

Head back to Santiago

The first night of the trip will be spent in Puerto Natales, the doorway to Torres Del Paine. You will stay in a hotel to gear up for the adventure ahead!

Day 2 - 6

Along the trek we will be staying at the refugios along our route. Please note that all the refugios are basic and rustic with shared shower facilities. You will most likely be in shared dorm stile rooms. Bedding will be provided. The meals provided at the Refugios are included in the cost of your trip.

Day 6

The last night of the trip will be again be spent in Puerto Natales, where you will rest before heading onwards on your journey or back home.
