DAY 1

Cusco | Soraypampa | Humantay Lake | Sky Camp

An early departure from Cusco takes you to Challacancha, where the trek begins. The first section follows a restored Inca water channel through a wide valley framed by glaciers. After approximately 7 km / 4.3 miles, you arrive at Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft).

In the afternoon, hike 3 km / 1.8 miles roundtrip to Humantay Lake (4,200 m / 13,780 ft), whose turquoise waters shimmer beneath the glacier. Return to Sky Camp for dinner and a night under the stars in glass-roofed igloos.
