5-Day Italy: Dolomites Via Ferrata Guided Trek & Climbing Adventure in Cortina d’Ampezzo

Experience five days of guided via ferrata adventure in the spectacular Dolomites, based around the alpine town of Cortina d’Ampezzo. This trip combines different via ferrata routes, mountain refugios, dramatic Dolomite scenery and the history of the mountains.

Over the course of the adventure, you’ll tackle a different via ferrata route each day, progressing from easier introductory routes to more challenging terrain. The itinerary includes the Ra Pegna and Ra Bujela via ferratas in the Tofana Group, Via Ferrata Col dei Bos, and a choice between Punta Anna and Giovanni Lipella depending on weather conditions and how the group is feeling.

The experience also highlights the unique history of Dolomite via ferratas. Many of these fixed routes originated during World War I, when Italian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers installed ladders and cables across difficult mountain terrain. Today, these routes allow visitors to access spectacular mountain landscapes with the support of professional guides.
