We had an amazing experience trekking Anapurna Basecamp

"We (myself and my friend) had an amazing experience trekking Anapurna Basecamp. Khushi from Adventure Tripr connected us to Mountain Rock, a local trekking agency in Nepal. Dhipak from Mountain Rock was very flexible in arranging a custom itinerary for our ABC trek given our schedule and budget. Our package cost $945 per person for two of us (without porter) with the following itinerary: - Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu with airport pickup, hotel transfer, trek briefing - Day 2: Kathmandu -> Pokhara flight, drive to Nayapul, trek to Ghandruk - Day 3: Ghandruk -> lower Sinuwa - Day 4: lower Sinuwa -> Deurali - Day 5: Deurali -> ABC - Day 6: ABC -> Bamboo - Day 7: Bamboo -> Jhinu Danda with a visit to the hot springs (highly recommend!) - Day 8: short walk to jeep pickup point, drive back to Pokhara, flight to Kathmandu The ascent involves lots of ups and downs and nearly ~10,000 stone stairs. We had unlucky weather on the way up with fog, rain, hail, and snow. But at moonrise the night we stayed at ABC, the clouds cleared and we got gorgeous 360 views of Mt Fishtail, Anapurna South, Anapurna I (10th tallest peak in the world), Himchuli, and other peaks. Views continued to be clear the next morning as we made our way down. Tea houses had excellent food (dhal bhat includes unlimited refills) and provided private rooms with beds, pillows, and blankets. Only at ABC did we have to share a room with other trekkers. Bathrooms are usually shared at most of the tea houses (pack toilet paper) but we got a private bathroom in Ghandruk and Jhinu Danda. Eku from Mountain Rock was the most kind and thoughtful guide we could possibly ask for. On countless occasions he went the extra mile to ensure we were taken care of throughout the trek. He called tea houses in advance to make sure they had space for us. He tied plastic around our packs each day to ensure we stayed dry. He picked up my poles when I dropped them and got water out of my pack so I didn’t have to take it off. He cut apple slices for us at dinner each day. He kept checking that we didn’t forget anything at each stop. He took great photos of us. He also would help other trekkers on the route because he is genuinely so generous and sweet. Highly recommend Eku as your guide for any Himalayan trek!"
