Upon your arrival at the El Calafate airport, your guides will pick you up and escort you to your accommodation.
After settling in, embark on the Nativo Experience—a 4x4 excursion along Lake Argentino's shores, delving into the world of the Natives through an archaeological site showcasing cave paintings. These ancient cultures left a lasting imprint on the rocks, inviting you to interpret their significance. The journey concludes in another cave with a dinner that transports you back to those distant times.

Arrival at El Calafate

Embark on an early journey from your hotel to Los Glaciares National Park, covering approximately 80 km. Enjoy stops at various viewpoints along the way to marvel at the Glacier. Guided by an authorized guide, you'll receive detailed information on the environment, history, and mystique of this unique glacier. Upon reaching the park's parking lot, you'll have free time to explore the three captivating circuits offered, immersing yourself in the stunning natural beauty.
The visit includes a nautical safari within Los Glaciares National Park. Boarding at Puerto Bajo las Sombras pier, enjoy a one-hour navigation on Rico Lake, witnessing the awe-inspiring icebergs detaching from the Perito Moreno Glacier walls.
Total Duration: 7 hours approximately. (including transfer time)

Perito Moreno Glacier Tour

On this day you will be transported from El Calafate to your hotel in El Chaltén, approximately 3.5 hours away, to begin your adventure.
After leaving your luggage at the hotel, youwill head out on a short hike to Mirador de las Aguilas and Los Condores, accompanied by a local guide.
It is a short walk from El Chaltén and it allows you to reach a natural lookout to the summit of a small hill where you will enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of Torre, Fitz Roy Mountain and De las Vueltas River Valley.
At this viewpoint, you can also spot condors and eagles. On the way back, there is another path that leads you to the Eagles' Viewpoint, with a beautiful sight of the steppe zone and Viedma Lake. This tour can be complemented visiting the Interpretation Center of National Park Administration.

El Calafate- El Chalten and short hikes to view points

The trail begins at the end of Avenida San Martín, where El Chaltén's urban ejido ends. The initial hour involves a somewhat steep slope into the Del Salto stream valley toward El Chaltén. As you progress, ñires become more abundant, leading to a well-marked rocky viewpoint about 1.5 hours into the journey. The trail follows the Del Salto stream to the Madre y Hija lagoons' drainage area. After around 4 hours, you reach Poincenot Base Camp and, crossing Blanco River, the Río Blanco base camp (for climbers). A steep ascent of about 400 meters leads to Tres Lagoon, taking over an hour. The trail culminates at the ancient moraine ridge, offering an extraordinary view of the Three lagoon and glacier, the closest vantage point to El Chaltén's granitic wall. Descending the moraine, a path encircles the lagoon, leading to Sucia Lagoon and its hanging glaciers.

Laguna Los Tres hike

Along with the Fitz Roy, Laguna Torre is a key hike in the area, culminating in a stunning view of one of the world's most challenging mountains, Cerro Torre.
Beginning in the town itself, the trail starts with a gentle slope along the Fitz Roy River. After 20 minutes, the landscape reveals the Fitz Roy River Canyon and the enchanting Cascada Margarita (Margarita Cascade). The trail then offers a delightful view of Cerro Torre. The first lookout point, reached within 1:30 hours from El Chaltén, is an ideal resting spot with panoramic views of Cerro Torre, its glaciers, and Cordon de las Adelas. Returning to El Chaltén through this point takes about 3 hours, making it suitable for those seeking shorter activities.
Continuing, a scenic one-hour navigation through a beautiful valley with gentle undulations leads to De Agostini Base Camp, where hikers and climbers from around the world gather to ascend Torre.
A few more minutes of hiking brings you to Laguna Torre, offering a magnificent view of the mountain itself, surrounded by the Egger, Standhardt, and Bifida peaks, along with the impressive glaciers of Cordon de las Adelas cascading into the lagoon. The return journey follows the same trail.

Laguana Torre hike

This trail offers the finest panoramic view of the entire area, perfect for photography.
Starting at the town's edge behind the National Park Administration Office, the trail ascends gently through picturesque beech forests, reaching "Pampa de las Carretas" after an hour. Here, enjoy a wide and stunning view of Fitz Roy, Torre, and Huemul.
Entering a dense forest, you may spot various birds. Exiting the forest, the path leads to Pliegue Tumbado viewpoint, where marine fossils dating back around 100 million years can be found.
From this viewpoint, marvel at the Fitz Roy River canyon, Cerro Torre Glacier, Madre and Hija lakes, the Fitz Roy Valley, Cóndor Lake, Viedma Lake, Tunel River valley, and part of Paso del Viento. The return follows the same trail.

Elevation gain: 1700 ft
After the trek in the evening, you will be transferred to El Calafate approximately 3.5 hrs. from El Chalten.

Today, is the final day of your adventure, bid farewell to the captivating landscapes and experiences, cherishing the memories created during this unforgettable journey. At the appropriate time, transportation will be arranged to take you to El Calafate airport for your return flight.
