The adventure includes the iconic PR1 hike from Pico do Areeiro to Pico Ruivo, a scenic exploration of Madeira's Wild West, a nature walk through Fanal Forest, and a day dedicated to Madeira's wine and culinary heritage. Throughout the journey, local guides provide insight into Madeira's landscapes, culture, traditions and food.

Lily Hartman is a New Hampshire-based outdoor writer and hiking guide who loves helping people feel at home on the trail. She leads guided hikes and backpacking trips in the White Mountains, where she shares her enthusiasm for the region’s landscapes, history, and natural beauty.
Lily’s own adventures have taken her to Switzerland, Iceland, Romania, Ireland, and beyond. Those experiences, and years of writing about the outdoors, have deepened her appreciation for exploring a place on foot and connecting with the people and stories that make it special. She’s excited to bring that spirit of curiosity and adventure to Portugal.
