Overview

Hiking through the Dolomites is a magical experience. Trails climb and bend their way around towering rock, offering unbelievable views that stun with every step. Intimate accommodations give a familiar warmth and hospitality. Rifugios, or mountain inns, seem to be placed at the perfect interval, appearing right when you are ready for an espresso or plate of speck – a marvelous smoked meat made only in the Dolomites – or a bed with a cozy comforter and pillow.

Highlights-

Hike to the Santa Croce Sanctuary at the base of the Sasso della Croce.

Trek along the Alta Via N.1 – one of the famous High Routes of the Dolomites!

Roam the Alpe di Sennes and view the spectacular Croda Rossa mountain group.

Ascend to the oldest Rifugio of all the Dolomites

Capture Cinque Torri and its jaw-dropping vistas, including the Pale di San Martino, Civetta, Monti del Sole, and the Marmolada.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Alta Badia

Arrive in Alta Badia on your own and check into your hotel (private transfer available on request).

Alta Badia is truly the heart of the Dolomites, sitting in a large valley surrounded by gorgeous peaks. South Tyrol (Südtirol) was part of Austria before the First World War. Alta Badia's prime position here is rich in natural beauty and ancient traditions, with the mixed culture well-marked in language, architecture, and cuisine. You will enjoy hearty meals that represent the incredible diversity of this region!

In the afternoon (time to be confirmed based on your arrival time), you will meet with your guide who will provide a trip briefing, orientation, maps, and everything necessary for your adventure.

Cancellation Policy

91+ more days prior to departure: 20% loss of trip cost & 10% transfer to a future trip (within two calendar years);

60 to 90 days prior to departure: 100% loss of deposit;

46 to 59 days prior to departure: 50% loss of trip cost + 50% transfer to a future trip (within two calendar years);

45 days or less prior to departure: 100% loss of full amount of trip cost. These charges are a percentage of the total cost of the booking. The days indicated are from the trip departure date.
