Day 1: Waterfowl and your caboose hotel

If you are driving from San Francisco for your adventure, stop along the way at a wonderful National Wildlife Refuge for a short walk. There are many waterfowl wintering in this area that can be observed on short hikes.

Your next stop would be Redding. You don't want to miss an iconic artful pedestrian bridge over the Sacramento River!

Travel to the home of the best water on Earth, where a unique accommodation is waiting for you in a small historic town: get cozy in one of the retired Caboose wagons with all amenities. This promises to be a one of a kind lodging for 2 nights, close to a family-friendly ski area.

On day 1, for 2 days

You'll be sleeping in your very own caboose with 1 queen bed plus two twin beds. Your caboose has a full bath/shower.
