Overview

Join Hiking for All Community on a captivating 9-day adventure along the renowned Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.  

This iconic trek covers approximately 26 miles (42 km) and offers a blend of history, wildlife, and breathtaking scenery. Throughout the journey, you'll traverse diverse Andean landscapes, including cloud forests and alpine tundra, while encountering a rich variety of wildlife like orchids, foxes, the national bird of Peru (the cock-of-the-rock), spectacled bears, deer, and an abundance of flora and fauna.  

Along the way, you'll explore remarkable Inca ruins such as Wiñay Wayña and Phuyupatamarca. For an extra off-the-beaten-path experience, consider the Ausangate trek, leading to the stunning "Rainbow Mountain.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Cusco and explore the city

Arrive in Cusco and transfer to your hotel with private transportation. A welcome meeting will be organized by your guide for a quick briefing of the tour. The rest of the day can be spent exploring Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Discover Spanish churches and mansions that sit alongside Inca remains, visit the local market of San Pedro and their array of products from handicrafts to vegetable products, fresh juices, and items for traditional Andean ceremonies. On the evening, enjoy the eclectic restaurant options available and try traditional or fusion dishes. You guides will provide recommendations to local restaurants that use local, organic products from the region.
