Overview

Trekking through the Himalayas is a spiritual experience. To be spiritual is to adapt to the nature to unite yourself with it. This trek offers a wonderful combination of culture, nature and landscape into an experience of a lifetime. But the rewards of this trek must be earned as it climbs over 20,000 feet and loses over 7,000 feet of elevation over 75+ miles over the course of the trek, at high altitudes.

- Trekking to the base of the world's tallest mountain.

- Taking in sweeping views some of world's tallest peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori.

- Getting a close look at the Khumbu Glacier, world’s highest glacier.

- Opportunity to trek up to Kalapathar, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region with views of 8000 meter peaks like Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu.

- A visit to one of the oldest and biggest Buddhist monasteries, Tengboche monastery.

- Spending a day at Namche Bazar, the Sherpa capital.

- Experiencing the local culture and cuisine at the tea houses along your trek.

- Coming close to local wildlife and domesticated animals like Yaks

- Exploring Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, which is a world heritage site.

This trip is the basic version of our EBC trek. It excludes accomodation and meals.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,430ft)

You’ll be received at the Tribhuwan International Airport and transferred to the hotel for your stay after you complete the necessary formalities at the customs. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Full day in Kathmandu/Group meeting

Day 3: Flight to Lukla (2,828m/9,279ft) and trek to Phakding (2,780m/9,121ft)

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,287 ft)

Day 5: Rest day / acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,850m/12,700ft)

Day 7: Trek to Dingboche (4,350m/14,272ft)

Day 8: Rest day in Dingboche/ acclimatization day

Day 9: Trek to Lobuche (4,910m/16,109ft)

Day 10: Trek to Gorak Shep (5,180m/16,995ft) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,600ft)

Day 11: Trek to Kala Patthar (5,614m/18,419 feet) to Pheriche (4,280 meters/14,042 feet)

Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,287ft)

Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2,828m/9,279ft)

Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,430ft)

Day 15: Final departure
