Hiking
Mount Langley, at 14,042 feet, is the southernmost of the California fourteen thousand-foot peaks. On this hike you will achieve a beautiful summit, but no technical climbing experience is required. The ascent from the Cottonwood Lakes Basin is straightforward. Much elevation is gained via a trail before a talus scramble to the summit.
Langley has had a checkered history and the peak’s close proximity to Mt. Whitney led to much confusion amongst early ascensionists. Hiking Mount Langley should most definitely be at the top of your Sierra Nevada bucket list. Not only is Mount Langley one of the tallest peaks in California (also known as a California “14er”), but it’s one of the most beautiful hiking and backpacking areas in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Please note that we need at least 5 people to run this group trip. In the event we do not receive minimum bookings, your entire booking amount will be refunded.
