The Alta Via N.1 trail offers an incredible experience, featuring stunning views, lively mountain refuges, and the thrill of discovering what lies around each bend or pass. You'll relish the satisfaction of traversing this beautiful and remote area on foot.

No need to worry about going hungry—there are plenty of opportunities to stop and refuel at welcoming rifugios, charming mountain inns spaced typically less than 7 miles apart. At night, you’ll enjoy private accommodations in the best rifugios the mountain range has to offer! Join us for an unforgettable adventure!

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Dolomites

Arrive in Cortina d'Ampezzo (1,224m / 4,016') and check into your hotel (private transfer available upon request). Cortina d'Ampezzo is a charming alpine resort town surrounded by stunning peaks. It is uniquely sheltered from the cold northern winds, offering a pleasantly mild climate that tourists can enjoy year-round. Host of the 1956 Winter Olympics, Cortina is renowned for excellent skiing in the winter and attracts hikers and climbers in the summer who challenge the rocky faces of the nearby mountains. This chic alpine town offers a variety of year-round social activities, shopping, and fine dining.

In the afternoon, meet with your guides for a trip briefing and orientation.

Cancellation Policy

91+ more days prior to departure: 20% loss of trip cost & 10% transfer to a future trip (within two calendar years);

60 to 90 days prior to departure: 100% loss of deposit;

.46 to 59 days prior to departure: 50% loss of trip cost + 50% transfer to a future trip (within two calendar years);

45 days or less prior to departure: 100% loss of full amount of trip cost. These charges are a percentage of the total cost of the booking. The days indicated are from the trip departure date.
