Mt. Whitney serves as an excellent winter training ground for climbers seeking to enhance their skills in a winter environment. The winter conditions on Mt. Whitney offer the expertise necessary for global expeditions and winter ascents in the lower 48 states. Elevate your climbing endeavors into the winter season by embarking on a winter ascent of Mt. Whitney via the Mountaineer's route.  

THIS CLIMB IS FOR CLIMBERS WITH PREVIOUS WINTER CLIMBING EXPERIENCE ONLY.

Itinerary

Day 1: Head to Base camp at Lower Boy Scout Lake (10,348 feet)

After meeting at 7:00 am on the first day at the guides office in Lone Pine, CA who will conduct a complete pack check and divide up the group gear. You will then carpool to the trail head at Whitney Portal, or lower if the road is snowed in! From here you will then snowshoe/ski to our base camp at Lower Boy Scout Lake (10,348 feet). As you snowshoe/ski the guides will be  

instructing and holding informal lectures.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required with each reservation, and the BALANCE is due 30 days before the trip starting date. If you pay your course fee in total and cancel your reservation 30 days or more before the course start date, your course fee balance is refundable, less your non-refundable deposit. NO REFUNDS are made within 30 days before the trip starting date.
