On this adventure, we’ll explore Crater Lake National Park. Fed by rain and snow, it’s the deepest lake in the US and one of the most pristine on earth. Native Americans witnessed its formation 7,700 years ago, when a violent eruption triggered the collapse of a tall peak. Sightseers travel to Crater Lake from all over the world to gaze at its blue water and stunning setting atop the Cascade Mountain Range.
During our stay we will go hiking, horseback riding, ziplining, and canoeing/kayaking. You will take in all the sights, explore and adventure, and also take time to relax and recharge in this most beautiful setting. The accommodations will be comfortable, glamping-style tents on a peaceful property with a creek flowing through a meadow. This is a great opportunity to be introduced to camping with shelter where the comforts of home like bedding are already taken care of.
Crater Lake National Park is the ancestral homelands of the Klamath people. They once called this place Lake Giiwas. The entire area is known as a sacred place where members came to pray, to mourn, to hunt and forage.
