Check in at your hotel around 2 PM and get settled in. Enjoy the evening by exploring the city, trying some traditional Icelandic food and wash it down with local drinks! You will meet your entire group along with your guide for a Welcome Dinner.

Arrive in Reykjavík

Explore the city on your own in the morning. Start by visiting local boutiques, cozy coffee shops, and museums.
At 5:00 PM, make your way to Harpa Concert Hall (just a few minutes' walk from the hotel) for a fun, local food tour lasting 3.5 hours. Savor the flavors of Iceland as you sample up to 8 distinctive dishes, from time-honored comfort food that has nourished the Icelandic people for centuries, to delectable street food offerings, and finally, a refined take on Icelandic cuisine's classic dishes. 
Later in the evening, you'll be back in time to book an optional northern lights boat tour if you wish.

Reykjavík Food Walking Tour

Today, the tour brings you to Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle and its three highlights: Thingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss. Your guide will pick you up from the hotel at 8 AM.
The first stop is Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and historic location where Iceland’s first Parliament, Althingi (Alþingi), was founded in 930 CE.
Next, visit the Geysir Geothermal Area. While Geysir itself is now dormant, its neighbor Strokkur puts on an impressive show, shooting a tower of water up to 25 meters high every 10 minutes or so.
The third stop is Gullfoss (the Golden Falls), Iceland’s most popular waterfall. Here, the powerful Hvita River roars down in two stages before plunging into a rugged canyon, creating a golden mist and frequent rainbows.
After exploring the Golden Circle, we head toward the South Coast. If the weather allows, enjoy views of Mount Hekla on the way to Seljalandsfoss, an unusual waterfall that you can walk behind.

Visit the Golden Circle and Northern Lights in Vik

After breakfast at the hotel, head east through lava fields, desert sands, and past glaciers resting on the horizon. One of these glaciers is Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in the country.
Next, visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and the nearby Diamond Beach. The lagoon is dotted with floating icebergs of all shapes and sizes, many of which rest on the black sand at Diamond Beach. The blue icebergs look like diamonds against the black canvas! See if you can spot playful seals resting on the beach.
From Jökulsárlón, you’ll head to Skaftafell for a new adventure—stepping onto the Vatnajökull glacier with a certified glacier guide. The glacier walk will take 2-3 hours, and all necessary equipment will be provided.

Visit the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and head to Skaftafell

Today is dedicated to exploring the South Coast and its attractions. If the roads are clear, you’ll make a small detour to Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, also known as "Bieber's Canyon," where you have the option to do a 3-hour hike.
Next, visit the iconic Eldhraun lava field, where your knowledgeable guide will explain what makes it so special. Then, head to Reynisfjara, a black sand beach rated as one of the most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world. Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks tower by the shore, creating dramatic views alongside the powerful waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Your next stop is Skógafoss, a waterfall with water plunging down from a height of 60 meters. For those up for a challenge, 527 steps lead to the top of the waterfall. If visibility is good, you can even see the famous volcano, Eyjafjallajökull, looming above the waterfall!
In the evening, you'll return to Reykjavik and stay in a city hotel. On the way back, you'll stop for the Northern Lights if the opportunity arises.

Sightseeing at the South Coast

After breakfast, you may explore Reykjavik before your departure. You have the entire day to yourself, giving you the chance to get to know the city and immerse yourself in the local culture.
Relax in any of the many spas and swimming pools across the city before heading to the airport for your flight back home.
