Overview

Trekking through the Himalayas is a spiritual experience, to be spiritual is to adapt to the nature to unite yourself with it. This trek offers a wonderful combination of culture, nature and landscape into an experience of a lifetime.

Everest Base Camp Trek starts from Kathmandu which is the capital of Nepal and also known as the ancient city. We will spend a day touring the beautiful sites around the Kathmandu valley which are listed in the world heritage site of UNESCO.

Be sure to look out for the many types of wildlife along your trek. Aside from the many pack animals , you will have the opportunity to see musk deer, birds, flowers and other wildlife . Take the time to look around, slow your pace, and absorb the wonderful nature around you. The trek will be continued for 12 days, after summiting Everest base camp and Kalaphatar we will turn back to Kathmandu through the flight from Lukla, Tenzing–Hillary Airport.

On this trek exclusively run for the Native Women's Wilderness Community, you will get an opportunity to bond with other indigenous women from the United States of America while meeting some of the indigenous women of Nepal to better understand their circumstances and challenges as the two communities together discuss the decolonization of native lands.

I am originally from the Gorkha district of Nepal. I am a government trained professional trekking guide and I have guided on most of the trekking routes and tours in Nepal. I am also a travel consultant for several well-known trekking companies. It has been an exciting journey for me. I started as a porter and worked my way up to become a highly respected guide and consultant. I now run a trekking company. Nepal is a fascinating and diverse country, where just a few miles will take you into a completely different landscape. I enjoy finding new routes so that our clients can have the best possible choice. And I enjoy travelling with them as they discover my country for themselves.
